TASK
When cutting steel and aluminium plates with circular saws or band saws, high cutting forces and considerable friction are generated on the tool cutting edge. Without targeted lubrication, this leads to build-up cutting, heat input into the workpiece, burr formation and premature tool wear. Conventional cooling lubrication methods are often imprecise, cause residues on the material or lead to unnecessary lubricant consumption.
TECHNICAL SOLUTION
The UNICUT® MQL system offers fully automatic, precise lubrication of saw blades – for both circular saws and band saws. The lubricant is guided precisely to the tooth edges or the band, finely atomised as an aerosol, and applied synchronously with the machine control system.
SPECIAL FEATURE
The UNICUT® MQL system can be integrated directly into new or existing sawing systems. The combination of precise minimum quantity lubrication technology and UNICUT® special lubricants ensures maximum cutting performance with minimum consumption.
