APPLICATION AREA

TASK
When sawing, aluminium tends to stick to the tool cutting edge, resulting in built-up edges, poor cut quality and increased friction. Without targeted lubrication, the tool can quickly overheat, especially when machining large blocks or hot sawing directly in extrusion lines. This leads to reduced tool life, surface defects and longer machining times.
TECHNICAL SOLUTION
The specially developed UNICUT® lubricant for aluminium is silicone-free, evaporates without leaving any residue and is ideal for downstream processes such as welding, coating or anodising.
SPECIAL FEATURE
The UNICUT® MQL system enables the targeted, ultra-precise application of specially developed lubricants for aluminium. The lubricant is applied directly to the tooth tips of the saw blade, while the base blade can also be cooled if required.

IMPRESSIVE RESULTS
The system offers many advantages for use in circular saws and band saws:
- Prevention of built-up edges
- Reduction of friction between tool and workpiece
- Clean, burr-free cuts even at high cutting speeds
- Optimised machining times thanks to higher feed rates
- Significantly extended service life of saw blades
- Low lubricant consumption – no flooding, no residues
In extrusion plants, the UNICUT® MMS system enables the following through lubrication during hot sawing:
- Safe cutting directly on the outlet side at high temperature
